General Information on Hunting Safaris
Laundry is available daily and is good reason for packing lightly. A sturdy hat and belt is essential. A warm jacket, sweaters and gloves are recommended. Should your safari include a desert concession thermal underwear and thick woolen socks. Do not forget if necessary, any medical prescriptions, sunglasses, sunscreen, toiletries, binoculars, and a camera with film and flash facility. A flashlight and spare batteries are recommended.
It is recommended that use be made of charter flights into camp. The charter's local representative will be at your point of entry to assist you with customs clearance and baggage, as part of the "Meet and Greet" service. Due to the vast distances between some safari areas, charter flights are recommended. These options can be discussed and booked on confirmation of your safari. We have fully equipped, well maintained four-wheel drive vehicles, which include comprehensive first aid kits and equipment to carry out field repairs if necessary and to ensure you experience a trouble free safari. Back-up vehicles are available in all areas and all vehicles are equipped with two way radios. Days spent traveling between provinces will be considered as safari days. Where decisions are made to fly between safari areas, you will be responsible for both your's and the Professional Guide's airfare. Safaris commence from the time you are collected at the airport/hotel, until the afternoon of the final safari day.
It is advisable for you to take out your own private comprehensive
insurance prior to your departure from home. Recommended commercial insurance
to be obtained by yourself :- Accidental death and disability - Trip
cancellation - Loss of personal items - Medical insurance - Emergency
medical evacuation.
Whilst every effort will be made to safeguard you and your property, no liability or responsibility is accepted for any accident, injury, illness, or for any loss of property during your trip, or any expenses arising from such incident, injury, illness or loss. Before commencement of the safari, all clients will be required to sign an indemnity form.
