Transport

Commercial and private chartered flights are available for your use.
It is recommended that use be made of charter flights into camp. The charter's local representative will be at your point of entry to assist you with customs clearance and baggage, as part of the "Meet and Greet" service.
Due to the vast distances between some safari areas, charter flights are recommended. These options can be discussed and booked on confirmation of your safari. We have fully equipped, well maintained four-wheel drive vehicles, which include comprehensive first aid kits and equipment to carry out field repairs if necessary and to ensure you experience a trouble free safari. Back-up vehicles are available in all areas and all vehicles are equipped with two way radios.
Days spent traveling between provinces will be considered as safari days. Where decisions are made to fly between safari areas, you will be responsible for both your's and the Professional Guide's airfare. Safaris commence from the time you are collected at the airport/hotel, until the afternoon of the final safari day.

Insurance, Passports & Health

It is advisable for you to take out your own private comprehensive insurance prior to your departure from home. Recommended commercial insurance to be obtained by yourself :- Accidental death and disability - Trip cancellation - Loss of personal items - Medical insurance - Emergency medical evacuation.
Customs clearance is effective at your point of entry into Southern Africa. Only a valid passport is required for your entry into the country, visas are no longer necessary.
Precautions should also be taken against malaria if hunting or touring in the Zululand or Northern Regions of the country. The KwaZulu Natal Midlands, Cape Provinces & Free State, are malaria free areas.

Liability

Whilst every effort will be made to safeguard you and your property, no liability or responsibility is accepted for any accident, injury, illness, or for any loss of property during your trip, or any expenses arising from such incident, injury, illness or loss. Before commencement of the safari, all clients will be required to sign an indemnity form.

Firearms & Ammunition

Important information to streamline the entry process into Southern Africa.

This form can be filled in on arrival but doing so in advance will speed up the process. 
Please remember to use black ink only.
DO NOT sign it until you are in the presence of an official at the airport. 
Once issued, a temporary import permit is for a particular person only, and is not transferable. 
They are issued for a period of 90 or 180 days.

Registration for Dutiable Personal Articles

US clients must complete a US 4457 Customs document 30 days prior to their departure date. 
This 4457 document must be sent to the Safari Outfitter 30 days prior to their arrival in Southern Africa.

Prior to departure, bring the items to be registered to your local U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) office. The CBP officer on duty will give you a blank CF4457 to complete. Fill in the "Name of Owner," "Address of Owner" and "Description of Articles" blocks, and sign in the "Signature of Owner" block. The CBP officer will compare the merchandise with the information entered on the form, completing and signing the blocks grayed out above, and return the completed form to you for subsequent presentation to CBP each time the registered articles are returned. The form remains valid for re-importation of the registered articles for as long as the document is legible. 
The certificate is not transferable.
