Inkwazi Bush Lodge is situated a short distance from the Umkomaas River and tucked away in Kwa-Zulu Natal typical natural vegetation.
The lodge is equipped with 3 East African Style Tented en suite rooms plus a Thatched Cottage with 2 separate rooms en suite which are serviced daily by the lodge staff. There is a fully equipped kitchen and kids lounge as well as a boma which has a 12 seater table for dining as well as a bar with under counter bar fridges with plenty space to hold beverages for the lodge at capacity. The bar has a flat screen TV with DSTV for sports viewing.
The fire pit and swimming pool are definitely this lodges main attractions. The fire pit keeps you nice and warm during the winter months while the swimming pool provides the perfect opportunity for a lazy day in the pool and a few sun downers while watching the sun set over this pristine terrain.
We offer various leisure activities, as well as catering for adventure-sport lovers. These activities include fly fishing for Yellow Fish, Canoeing, Swimming, Tubing, Bird Watching, Trail Hiking, Mountain-Biking Clay Pigeon Sporting Range, Air & .22 Rifle Target Range and Game viewing can be arranged too.
Yellow fishing in winter is fantastic. The water is crystal clear, and the Natal Golds give an excellent fight. In line with conservation ethics, we return all fish to the water.
The idyllic setting of the lodge lends itself well to the beautiful countryside and quiet nights, perfect for relaxing away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Experience a morning or afternoon game drive where one may see game and birdlife along the river banks and across the grassy plains can be seen in the peace and tranquillity of the Umkomaas Valley, including Nyala, Kudu, Giraffe, Warthog, Wildebeest and Zebra.
